Archie Macpherson | Part 3: Jock Stein - The Man Who Changed Everything

Archie Macpherson is a bonafide Scottish Football icon having began his career as a broadcaster with the BBC over 60 years ago.

His time in the game has brought him into close contact with many legendary figures – including some of the greatest Celts of all time – and in the final part of our exclusive 3-part series he shares with us his experiences as a close confidante of Jock Stein – the man who changed the course of Celtic’s history forever!

Having first encountered the great man as a wet behind the ears new start at the BBC, Archie went on to form a genuine bond with the man rightly regarded as Celtic’s greatest ever manager, spending time with him at Cup Finals, at World Cups, and of course in Lisbon.

It’s now almost 40 years since Jock’s sad passing and Archie also tells us poignantly of that night in Cardiff in 1985 as Jock played out his final game.
