CELTIC rounded off their pre-season campaign with a comfortable 2-0 win over Norwich City on Saturday with Reo Hatate continuing his excellent pre-season form with another Man of the Match performance.
Many have tipped Jota and Kyogo to be the main men this season – and they may well be right – but the young Japanese midfielder is looking refreshed and energised ahead of the big kick off and may well be one of Ange’s biggest performers in 2022/23.
The game also saw debuts for Aaron Mooy and Moritz Jens, with the latter in particular putting himself in the frame for a start at the weekend.
Sunday will of course see Celtic raise the league flag once again ahead of our opening league fixture with Aberdeen and after 11 weeks without competitive football the fans will be out in force to welcome their heroes back to Celtic Park once again.
Ange Postecoglou has indicated that we’re not quite finished in the transfer market yet, and we may well see some further comings and goings over the next few weeks as he looks to shape a squad capable on both the domestic front and in Europe.
