Celtic limped out of the Champions League at an early stage yet again with a weak performance against a limited Danish side tonight at the MCH Arena.
Despite taking the lead with a brilliant Callum McGregor volley that was about as good as it got for us on the night and it gradually went from bad to worse as we gave up a couple of cheap goals to ultimately lose out after Extra Time.
If truth be told it’s hard to think of a single chance we created in the extra time and that in itself has to be a big concern for the manager.
Ange is absolved from blame given what he’s inherited and to have to go into such an important game with such an inexperienced back four, and with such poor goalkeeping options is criminal.
However there’s now a job to be done ahead of our league opener this weekend and no time to feel sorry for ourselves.
If it’s a silver lining of sorts the board must see the deficiencies of our squad and must act NOW to give Ange a fighting chance.
