The Scottish Premiership resumed this weekend, with Celtic picking up exactly where they left off.
Scoring goals and winning games.
Jim Goodwin’s Aberdeen took a surprisingly negative approach to Saturday’s game however, with only an 87th minute goal by Callum McGregor ensuring all 3 points returned to Glasgow.
It was a game which gifted us the rarely spotted 8-0-2 formation.
And despite that, it was a game which Aberdeen very nearly took something from.
Is it a poor reflection on Scottish Football that this is what we’re seeing from a team generally accepted as the third force in the country?
Have teams in Scotland run out of ways to outfox Ange Postecoglou’s side?
Thankfully McGregor showed just how influential he is to this Celtic side with a match winning display.
The captain completely dominated the midfield and it was fitting that he scored the winner on his return to the first team.
Just how far has the 29 year old come after stepping out of the shadows of Scott Brown?
