Final Whistle: Celtic Crash Out At Killie | No Fight, No Spark

Brendan Rodgers hadn’t lost a single match in domestic cup competition as Celtic manager before this afternoon’s clash with Kilmarnock.

He has now. And he and his side can have no complaints.

Injuries to key players Alistair Johnston, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Reo Hatate can explain part of the problem but that aside Celtic lacked a spark and a desire and barely troubled the Kilmarnock goal all afternoon.

We knew we’d face a robust challenge and on the day the players failed to meet that challenge.

The work Celtic now do in the remaining days of the transfer window could define our season.
