Final Whistle: Celts Suffer First League Defeat Of The Season With Woeful Second Half Performance

At half time at Rugby Park – a goal up and cruising – no one could have foresaw the second half that was about to unfold from Brendan Rodgers’ men.

It was as bad a 45 as we’ve seen since Rodgers returned, and arguable the worst under any manager in some time.

The performance of Liverpool loanee Nat Phillips was particularly concerning but in truth he was just one amongst several in the Hoops who fell way short of the required standard on the day.

It’s a result which reduces our lead at the top of the table to 5 points having played a game more than Rangers, and one which undoubtedly throws the title race wide open.

To say there’s work to be done by the manager and his players is a huge understatement.

Let’s see how they respond to this latest setback.
