Having picked the same starting XI in his first two competitive games of the season Brendan Rodgers now has some calls to make for the trip to Rugby Park where they’ll face a Kilmarnock side in decent form.

Cameron carter-Vickers is unavailable following the knock he picked up at Pittodrie, as is Reo Hatate, and their absence could provide opportunities for new Bhoys Gustaf Lagerbielke and Odin Thiago Holm.

Yang will also be in contention for his first competitive start following last week’s vital assist for Matt O’Riley, and could we also see changes in the much talked about goalkeeper and left back positions.

For Brendan Rodgers the game provides a chance to pick up where he left off in terms of dominating the domestic trophies in Scotland and it remains to be seen how strong a team he’ll field on the day.
