Celtic knew they wouldn’t have everything their own way at Pittodrie and that proved to be the case with Aberdeen making a good fight of it on Matchday 2.

Ultimately our quality got us over the line however with Matt O’Riley adding to first half strikes from Abada and Kyogo to ensure the Hoops head home with all three points.

Brnedan Rodgers was pleased with the win but will be concerned by knocks to key men Cameron carter-Vickers and Reo Hatate who both went off with knocks.

Fans will be eagerly awaiting updates on that, as well as further new signing, with Rodgers confirming that we’re “very close” to getting more business down this week.
