CELTIC were finally back in competitive action at the weekend with the long awaited return of the Scottish Premiership, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable Flag Day at Celtic Park with captain Callum McGregor raising the league flag ahead of kick off.
The backdrop of this was a stunning stadium wide tifo display – organised by the Green Brigade, and funded by the wider Celtic support – and it was a sight to behold as they players prepared to defend the league trophy they so deservedly claimed back in May.
Stephen Welsh gave the Hoops an early lead before Jota sealed the three points with a stunning strike to get the campaign off to the perfect start.
In other news, the club have confirmed that Chairman Ian Bankier will step down from his duties at the end of the year, with former CEO Peter Lawwell being suggested by many as the man who will replace him in the role.
Tino, Mif & James also discuss stadium banners, 3rd kits, and everything else in between in this latest episode of The Celtic Exchange Weekly.
