CELTIC claimed 3 points and a clean sheet on a successful flag day at Celtic Park, as Ange Postecoglou and the Bhoys got the new campaign off to a positive start.

Captain Callum McGregor raised the league flag ahead of the game amidst a stunning stadium wide tifo and it set the tone for what was a particularly impressive first half display.

Stephen Welsh opened the scoring with less than 3 minutes on the clock, though the capacity crowd had to wait until the 75th minute before a Jota wonder strike secured the points.

The Hoops were guilty of missing some chances across the 90 minutes but at times the football was a joy to watch and Celtic now sit on top of the league table once again.
