The Final Whistle: Celtic v Motherwell | Scottish Premiership | Saturday 1st October 2022

It wasn’t the prettiest but Celtic managed to secure an important three points against Motherwell this afternoon  despite struggling to find top form across the ninety minutes.

Kyogo opened the scoring after quarter of an hour which many thought would have opened the floodgates, but it wasn’t to be, and after a defensive lapse we somehow found ourselves going in level at the break.

An excellent strike from Reo Hatate in the second half would eventually seal the win, though we had to see out the final minutes with ten men after Callum McGregor took one for the team following a slack pass by Hatate.

A very mixed afternoon at Celtic Park, but its a results based business and ultimately its a result which restores our place at the top of the Scottish Premiership following the international break.

Next up its a UEFA Champions League trip to face Leipzig in Germany and Ange Postecoglou will be targeting an uplift in performance by his players if we’re to return with a positive result from that one.

Tino & James were at Celtic Park for this one and were on the mics on the final whistle to bring you all the key talking points from the beautiful game!
