Celtic stormed into an early five point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table on Saturday with a hugely impressive 4-0 win over Rangers in the first Glasgow Derby of the season.
Ange Postecoglou’s men were relentless from first whistle as they ruthlessly exposed the deficiencies of their Glasgow rivals in a one sided match at Celtic Park.
Liel Abada was the star of the show with two clinical strikes in the first half but was followed closely by a midfield trio of Callum McGregor, Matt O’Riley and Liel Abada who ensured Celtic took full control of this one from an early stage.
The win means Celtic maintain their 100% start to the league campaign with six wins from six in the league, and a total of 25 goals scored so far., with just one conceded.
It’s formidable form at this early stage in the season and sets the Bhoys up perfectly for a challenge of a different kind as European Champions Real Madrid come calling in our opening Champions League fixture on Tuesday night.
