A frustrating night against RB Leipzig as Celtic once again created big chances on the Champions League stage but couldn’t capitalise on them.

This would come back to haunt us (as it’s done in all three previous Group F fixtures) as Leipzig scored twice in the closing 15 minutes to take all three points to leave us adrift at the bottom of the group.

We do have an outside chance of progressing to the Europa League but that will require a win against Shakthar Donetsk in a couple of weeks time, followed by taking something at the Bernabeau early next month – as simple as that!

Ange is a man who wears his heart on his sleeve and you could see his disappointment throughout the game as we passed up some big opportunities.

It’s a positive that we continue to create the chances but we need to get our shooting boots back on and soon if we’re looking to kick on between now and the World Cup break.
