A tough night for Celtic in Germany as a good Leipzig side take all three points on Matchday 3 of this season’s Champions League.
Jota’s equaliser shortly after half time gave us reasons for optimism but a mistake by Joe hart let Leipzig take control of the game as the second half wore on.
Celtic were on the positive end of some big VAR calls as Leipzig (rightly) had two goals chalked off but overall they were worthy of their 3-1 win.
It’s a lesson that mistakes will be punished at this level and shows we still have a way to go if we’re to seriously compete in Europe’s top competition.
