A tough night for Celtic in the Bernabeu as European Champions Real Madrid showed their quality with a resounding win.

As has been the case in all of our games in Group F, Celtic made chances on the night with no less than eight attempts on goal against the Spaniards. However a mixture of good goalkeeping by Courtious and a lack of clinical finishing meant we only had a brilliant Jota free kick to show for our efforts.

Ange Postecoglou and the players can take some comfort from their performances in this season’s group stages, if not the results across the six games, but this young squad will be better for the experience and the hope now is that we’re back at the top table next season for another crack at it.
