The Final Whistle: St Johnstone v Celtic | Scottish Premiership | Saturday 8th October 2022

As we now know under Ange Postecoglou this Celtic team “never stop!” and that was proven to be the case today as Giorgios Giakoumakis grabbed a late late winner at McDiarmid Park.

In truth however the Bhoys never really got started in the first place and with skipper Callum McGregor facing a spell on the sidelines we played an untried midfield formation that effectively seen us set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

The new shape did create some chances throughout the game with Liel Abada and Daizen Maeda guilty of not putting things to be earlier than we did and it was left to Giakoumakis to seal the win when it looked like we’d have to settle for a share of the spoils.

Tino was joined by the double pivot of Mif and James for this one as Celtic maintained their place at the top of the Premiership table.
