Celtic’s 38 game unbeaten run in the Scottish Premiership came to a surprising end in Paisley this afternoon with St Mirren running out 2-0 winners in a result that few if any predicted.
Ange Postecoglou made a number of changes to his starting line-up – some enforced, some less so – and this seemed to upset the momentum of a side that up until today had recorded six league wins out of six, scoring twenty-five goals in the process.
We now head into the international week which gives us a bit more time to dwell on this one before we return to league action against Motherwell at Celtic Park on the 1st of October.
