Celtic head into Matchday 2 of this season’s Champions League against Ukranian’s Shakhtar Donetsk in confident form despite that loss in the opening game against current champions Real Madrid.

Ange Postecoglou’s side proved that they can hold their own at this level by playing the style and system that the manager wants and though the final scoreline against Madrid doesn’t make for great reading there are genuine positives to take from that one.

Shakhtar Donetsk themselves will be feeling confident following their opening day 4-1 win over Leipzig, a result that sees them sitting top of Group F on goal difference.

Ex Celt Marian Shved scored Shakhtar’s first two goals in that one last week and Cameron Carter-Vickers and Moritz Jenz will likely be tasked with ensuring that the frontman doesn’t come back to haunt his former employers!
