Should We As Celtic Fans Give Players More Time To Succeed?

Not every player hits the ground running when they arrive at a new club and in light of recent successes should we as Celtic fans be giving players (particularly our younger players) more time to succeed in the ruthless environment that is Scottish Football?

Greg Taylor has had a brilliant season so far and has arguably been our most consistent performer of 2022/23.

However, as most will accept the popularity he now enjoys amongst the Celtic supporters wasn’t always the case.

He joined the club in September 2019 from Kilmarnock and it’s only now some three years later that he’s accepted as a valuable part of Celtic’s first time.

Anthony Ralston (who made his first team debut over six years ago!) is in a similar position, having been written off some time ago by many fans.

Liel Abada (21), Stephen Welsh (22) and David Turnbull (23) are amongst others in the current squad who at times have been the focus of heavy criticism for some.
