Will Alistair Johnston Make Celtic More Robust In Europe? Better Than Juranovic?

Canadian international Alistair Johnston has now played the full 90mins in 12 of 13 available games since his arrival at Celtic and has firmly established himself as Ange Postecoglou’s go-to right back.

The 24 year old has slotted in seamlessly and is playing a crucial role in the ongoing consistency of the side with the unbeaten run now extending to 24 games.

His predecessor Josip Juranovic left Celtic Park in the summer with everyone’s best wishes, but from what we’ve seen of Johnston, is he more capable of dealing with the challenges that European football has to offer than the Croatian?

With Johnston a more robust and natural defender than Juranovic, will Celtic be better equipped for a crack at next year’s continental competition?
