Celtic’s AGM takes place this Friday (4th November) and following the conformation that Chairman Ian Bankier will be vacating the role at the end of the year will the club choose this occasion to announce former CEO Peter Lawwell as his successor?
Lawwell served the club for close to 20 years in his previous role in that time – overseeing notable success – and is a very experienced operator, but would he have the backing of the fans should he make his return to the club?
Friday’s AGM will be the first as permanent CEO for Michael Nicholson who’s proven popular in his short time in the role so far.
In September the club announced impressive financial figures and many are pleased with just how strongly Nicholson and his board have backed Manager Ange Postecolglou in the transfer market.
